CYF&C Families Raise $677 In 10 Minutes For Ray Krisa!!

During the 2015 Comsewogue Youth Football & Cheer Trophy Day Awards Ceremony on Saturday, March 5, 2016, CYF&C Board Member Jaclyn Shannon spoke about Ray Krisa, a father of 6 and grandfather of 2, who was just recently diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma in January 2016. Multiple Myeloma is a very rare cancer that is located in the plasma cells of his blood. Ray has devoted a lot of time and money to Comsewogue youth sports programs over the years as his children have grown up in the district.

Jaclyn asked the families present to all drop a dollar or some loose change into a couple of helmets to be passed around. She planned to use the collected money to put together one or two baskets to be raffled at the fundraising event for Ray Krisa at Ciao Baby in Commack on Monday, April 4.

The collection results were astounding. The Comsewogue families generously contributed $677 into the helmets. Jaclyn wrote that she will make the two baskets as planned, and will donate the rest of the money into Ray Krisa's GoFundMe account.

Thank you to all the Comsewogue families who contributed at Trophy Day. If you would like to contribute directly to Ray Krisa's GoFundMe account, please visit
